Concrete Countertop Sanding. Concrete Countertop Solutions has a solution for you. We usually start with a 50 grit diamond and continue using 10 steps all the way up to 3000 grit diamond pads.
Simply spray some water on the concrete to get it wet and sand the surface using the diamond disc to abrade away the burnished surface. The next step is to begin polishing the concrete with our hand grinder not pictured. The good news is that concrete can be sanded with relative ease when the proper equipment is used such as a good concrete sandpaper made using diamond instead of sand.
Depending on the look you are trying to achieve you may start or stop at any point along this progression.
Put on some rubber gloves and spread it over the entire surface to fill and smooth over any voids. Our Z Grit-Discs are made out of a high quality silicon carbide sand paper that will hold up on the toughest sanding surfaces. Achieving a fine polished look in concrete countertops requires using progressively finer grits of diamond pads. Mix a slurry and include the same pigment ratio if your concrete is tinted.
