Laminate Countertop Seams. The countertop was very large and constructed in one piece but we did have to mirror the laminate. Because of the design we will need to have a seam somewhere.
Also when you clamp the cauls into place try to use some deep throated clamps to reach the area near the center of the clamping caul. Laminate countertops are constructed in 12-foot lengths. Plus it can be shaped without any visible seams for a smooth surface look and feel.
So if you have a longer countertop then it is important to add another section which creates a seam.
